In August 2022, GradPro ran a five day Pre-Professional Summer Intensive Course at Birmingham Royal Ballet.

This Summer course was open to vocational graduates or students at the start of their second or third year of Vocational Training.

 

This was an amazing opportunity to take class taught by BRB dancers and Elmhurst Artistic Director Robert Parker. There were daily workshops to create and work on three elements of performance, group choreography, repertoire and working on a piece by a guest choreographer culminating in a performance at the end of the week and a chance to be a part of an ongoing performance opportunity.

 

The course included opportunities to look at CV’s, photography, corps de ballet technique, pas de deux, audition mentoring to name but a few. Very exciting opportunity and places were limited.
