GradPro is delighted to launch G2P, our new pre professional course for graduates. This is a fabulous new initiative with support from the Linbury Trust that prepares dancers mentally and physically for company life.

If you have completed your vocational training in ballet or contemporary dance this 15 week intensive dance programme in Birmingham will support you in the transition to professional careers. The culmination is a week-long company tour.

 

Our highly experienced faculty will guide you through an extensive training programme that will ensure you leave with a comprehensive array of transferable skills. In a supported mentorship environment we will focus on the essential values of support, belief, confidence and reward so that your artistry can flourish as you approach your careers with self belief and integrity.

 

Starting on Monday 9th September until Friday 13th December 2024, the training will be held in Birmingham with the tour from Monday 16th December to Sunday 22nd December 2024.

The total cost of the course is £5750.00 which includes all classes, personal audition preparation including show reels and images, full week of touring and optional extra Sunday workshops.

 

The programme is fully supported by our Grad Pro Artistic Mentors and Dansez.

Course Details

The course will run daily from 9am until 5pm Monday to Friday at the Dance Hub at Birmingham Royal Ballet and the Midlands Arts Centre. We will also have access to One Dance UK resource.

  • Classical Ballet Classes including Pointe Work

  • Contemporary Classes

  • Jazz

  • Repertoire and Solos

  • Personal solo choice advice

  • Personal mentor throughout the course from leading dance companies.

  • Solos performance evening

  • Self and peer teaching

  • Contact improvisation.

  • Audition CV, analysis, and advice. Show reels and guidance including personal one to one photo shoots with a leading photographer.

  • Own choreography and Guest Choreographers

  • Stagecraft, Mime & Acting

  • Company etiquette

  • Makeup & Hair

  • Pas de Deux

  • Body conditioning & pilates

  • Observing company classes & working with BRB company members
